Sixth Avenue
presents the world premiere of
a play by William Nedved
directed by Dámaso Rodriguez
starring William Nedved & Adam Silver

William recollects his year in Brazil as a high school exchange student – the worst exchange student ever. Adam confesses to being stalked by a vengeful film student. Both dudes bring to life hilariously unreliable stories that will, quite truthfully, blow your mind.

Tale #1: “FACT” – Using passages from his actual journal, William recounts, corrects and recants the tale of leaving rural Iowa for a coastal Brazilian city where he was taken in by a host family straight out of a telenovela. As this travelogue of sunburn and wanderlust unfolds, William reflects back on why he kept that journal (in such good penmanship), and what it all means now.

Tale #2: “FICTION” – Adam is a Chicago-bred actor living in Los Angeles taking on the daunting role of Adam, a Chicago-bred actor living in Los Angeles who is being stalked by a deranged and relentlessly autobiographical filmmaker. Suspend your disbelief for this creepy, thrilling and howlingly funny true-ish tale.

“Clever, funny and fresh! Solid date-night entertainment.”
Chicago Sun-Times on “A Young Man in Pieces” by William Nedved

Adam Silver is “terrific!”
LA Weekly on “Awake and Sing!”

“Dámaso Rodriguez’s relentlessly paced staging builds suspense with the visceral engagement of a cinematic thriller.”
Los Angeles Times on “Hunter Gatherers”
