world premiere

In his first project showcasing his trifecta of writing, directing, and producing expertise, Chris LeVan is bringing connection to the center of conversation in his debut production of Podcast.

Podcast will premiere at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival and challenges viewers to find connection through conversation in a culture inundated with FaceTime, but lacking real face-time.

Punctuated by podcast episodes paralleling crucial exchanges, the play follows Charlie. Like many millennials, Charlie is at a crossroads in his life. He dreams of having a successful podcast, but is unable to connect with the people on his show. However, a certain guest may just change the game for him.

Podcast follows the sold-out success of LeVan’s 2016 production of Sarah Ruhl’s Melancholy Play: A Contemporary Farce at the Attic Theatre and Film Center in Los Angeles.
