Congratulations on a sold out audience...BUT I got a seat on the side (that didn't have risers). The center section was on risers so there was no way to see actors over the center risers with bodies in chairs when the actors where sitting. Big chunks of the play was staged on the floor and I couldn't see either actor. Very frustrating. With contortions I could sometimes see part of one seated actor. But audience shouldn't have to contort and we deserve to see both characters. Give everyone risers or sell fewer tickets and don't put seats on the sides that are behind others. Not fair to make the effort to get out and see a show--but then not be able to see the show. (And I'm not a short person--feel even more sorry for anyone in my s... full review

The premise of this play intrigued me, that of two complete opposites who find common ground in the end. Unfortunately major flaws in every aspect of the production resulted in a very disappointing experience. The writing was elementary. The writer wanted to put two disparate characters in a situation where they couldn't run away but had to either come together or die. However the lack of imagination in creating a non-specific apocalypse was trite and created more questions than it ever gave in answers. It seemed like a cheap way out. Nor were the characters fleshed out in any way. Each was a stereotype so overdone that after five minutes you knew pretty much everything there was to know. ... full review

Matthew Scott Montgomery is a literal genius. Tonight was my third time seeing Dead Boys, and it really got me thinking and feeling the same way every single show. It truly deserves all the recognition it can possibly get. ... full review

I loved the show! It did a great job of taking you on a rollacoaster of emotions but not keeping you in one for to long. The character development was very strong though the writing and the acting. Defiantly worth your time and money! I'd see it again! ... full review

I could have watched these two men work out their shit all damn day. Matthew (writer and star) was so easy with the words and so commanding. I also could have watched him check the bandaid all day. His work was so specific and grounded and honest and vulnerable. Andrew's performance was so strong and dropped into some deep vulnerability. I appreciated the silent moments between the men as they would take each other in and snap back into the reality of their circumstances... the end of the world.... full review

There are a few surprises in store in the script and the fast paced direction keeps this two-hander from becoming static. Both actors cleanly delineate their roles and have a nice chemistry. ... full review

Brilliant! Mesmerizing! Superior! See this show! The script is refreshingly smart and unpredictable and effectively gives voice to so many important issues that need to be heard. The performances are both hilarious and heartbreaking. I most enjoyed Andrew Puente's vulnerability. And Matthew Scott Montgomery may have a new #1 fan, I felt like I could watch him inhabit this role for days - his nuance, his specificity, his groundedness and his razor sharp timing were beautifully enthralling to witness. I could go on and on. I hope Dead Boys will extend and continue on past this year's Fringe and I have a feeling it will. A very special and important piece of theatre.... full review
