I went along as part of a group of 5 not knowing what to expect from this show and was delighted to find an engaging, funny and intelligent performance. Zehra Fazal is enchanting as Zed Headscarf, a young woman invited to give weekly lectures at the Islamic Women’s Centre the topics of which range from family pressures to an uncomfortable trip to the gynaecologist. I particularly liked the structure of the show which allowed Fazal to move seamlessly from one subject to another. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone as it is rare to find performances as funny, sweet and touching as this.
