DESCRIPTION

PAINT
“Imagining a Love Story of Robert Rauschenberg & Jasper Johns”

PAINT is an edgy, imaginative take on the tumultuous relationship between two of the most significant artists of the 20th Century.

When Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns fell in love, they created their most critically valuable output of art. This award-winning original play imagines their rivalry and friendship after their break-up in 1961.

It is a story about fame, jealousy, art and betrayal. But above all else, it is a Love Story.

Winner of the 2010 Rod Parker Playwriting Fellowship, this West Coast Premiere of PAINT follows the World Premiere production at Emerson College (Boston, MA) and workshop presentation at the Lineage Performing Arts Center (Pasadena, CA).

Featuring Eric Goldrich, Simone Frajnd, Erez Rose and Harry Vaughn
Written and Directed by Dan DeNicola
