Maybe this was just right up my alley (I'm really into out of the box theatre with strong physicality) but I just loved this show!! Let's be clear, the VR technology that is part of the show did not completely work, after the first clip the video just spent most of the time loading. But the performances and the directing were so strong that I didn't really care. Technology issues aside this is a breathtaking and compelling show. One to see for sure if you want something a little different!!... full review

Hello World definitely deserves some praise for bringing the virtual reality experience to theatre in a very unique and interactive sort of way. With your very own smartphone and headphones and borrowed Google Cardboard, Hello World becomes a production acted out before your eyes in person and in virtual reality. Bringing such new technology into a situation where there are a variety of people, some who are not so technologically inclined, definitely brought its troubles. During the performance that I attended, a number of Android telephone users had trouble because their phones were not compatible with the VR technology and a few others just had some trouble setting up their phones for the experience. Overall, this show earns an easy A from me. In terms of new, cutting edge theatre, there's not much out there. So when you find a piece as novel as HELLO WORLD you owe it to yourself to be there. At the very least you'll be able to say, "I was there. I remember when..."... full review
