What I liked
Occupation disturbed me…it seemed so relevant to current political movements here and abroad, and it left me fearful of what could happen if fear gains the upper hand.
On a performance note, I thought the show was well cast and well directed. The actors were committed, and I was drawn into the story from the beginning to the end.
What I didn't like
I felt the closure might have been a little too quick. Perhaps the writer could have developed the ending just a little more.
My overall impression
I’m very glad I caught this final performance of Occupation. It was disturbing, engaging, and served as a wake-up alarm as to what could happen if fear is the stronger force in our political system and culture. It felt kind of like a Margaret Atwood world. It would be great to develop the story further for future projects.
