THE PACKER is an exhilarating roller coaster ride through a charged urban Pacific diversity that is Auckland, New Zealand. Told through the eyes of Shane, a factory packer still living with the gin-addled old lady, still rooting the ex girlfriend and still getting up to mischief with his best wigger mate whilst dreaming up hip hop fame. Shane has nothing to lose and everything to gain. The arrival of a new Pacific Niuean family that moves in next door throws Shane off his usual game. He‘s got the hots, HARD! He’s not the only one Bro! In one night, Shane will discover the emotional ties that bind him to his world can also destroy him.
Set in West Auckland, THE PACKER transcends location and showcases the contemporary world where cultures blend, racial intolerance comes to the forefront and insecurities are exploited with humor and heart.
