By all means, this concept shouldn't be as good as it is. A musical based on bumperstickers? Really? But man oh man, in the hands of Stockdale & Green and the direction of Michele Spears, the subject matter is elevated to approach the humanity that is veiled behind each sticky pop culture slogan. ... full review

The 2016 Fringe Season isn't even officially open yet but already this show has established itself as "Most Likely to Succeed", both within and beyond the Fringe venue. Even the first preview had a thoroughly professional cast (4m,4f) performing a thoroughly professional "revue" (in the old-fashioned sense of the term) of smart, sometimes politicized material, which wanders afield from the safely-generic title. Amazingly even-handed, with everyone getting more than one chance to step out and shine! Smoothly staged, with the right amount of visual embellishment to keep it moving for 85 minutes! A Sure Winner in ANY venue! Now if only the Deafening Sound Mix could be corrected!... full review

I was initially skeptical when I heard that it was about bumperstickers. But that changed when I realized that in order for me to put a bumpersticker on one of my cars (which I have not done in years), I had to believe pretty strongly in what the sticker said. So Kudos for the writing.... full review

Bumpersticker: The Musical conquers the Hollywood Fringe Festival with its terrific triple threat combination making it great for people who don’t like musicals and even better for those who do. It’s the right show in the right venue with the right cast, and a rousing good time from beginning to end. The venue is Asylum at The Dragonfly, a nightclub where the music rocks, the bar stays open during the show, and the atmosphere is decidedly dark and fringy. It’s perfect for Gary Stockdale and Spencer Green’s homage to the aphorisms that define our lives, all printed on little sticky pieces of paper and proudly plastered on the cars we drive.... full review
