What I liked
Using not only a certain time frame of events but the performer’s extensive life history created a beautiful story. Very magnetic performance, I felt the performer was raw and fully present. Commodore was adorable and put everyone at ease from the get-go.
What I didn't like
Sometimes it wasn’t immediately known when different events of the story took place.
Only statement that, while important and pivotal, needed more introduction or explanation was “choosing one’s parents.”
My overall impression
A wonderful one person show, allowing the audience to take their own personal journey through the performer’s own experiences. Commodore is a perfect asset, creating a comfortable atmosphere where the audience lowers their guard and truly is present and listening.
