I loved the pathos – the mix of comedy and raw emotion. Each charter was distinct and offered her own unique experience of shoplifting, helping to show how a variety of people engage in shoplifting for a variety of reasons. I laughed throughout the show, yet had a lump in my throat many times as well. The one hour format was perfect, though I have no doubt the talented Terry Anne Holzman could sustain the impact of the material for longer if she ever chooses to expand the running time.
What I didn't like
I really didn’t find fault with any of it.
My overall impression
A wonderfully frank, funny and moving show. Stellar writing. Great acting. Pure and simple staging/directing. Deserving of “must see” status for any and all Fringe Fest-goers. Don’t miss this one!
