his is the story of an addict who’s hit rock bottom, but in Hunt’s talented hands, he’s an imperfect soul whom we find ourselves rooting for, even in his debauchery.... full review

Do not miss seeing this. This is one of the best one-person shows I've ever seen. Neither autobiographical pandering nor stand-up routine masked as a play, this is a real play with real action and plot and it delivers fantastically! ... full review

Hunt specializes in cringe comedy that features sympathetic losers who are so well-written, you sometimes forget to cringe. As a playwright and an actor, he understands that anyone can lose their way while some people never even get to find theirs in the first place. He's crafted an honest, complex and very funny look at one weekend in the life of a completely adrift man-child (who just wants to be a good friend to all the people he inadvertently terrorizes) without ever once being mean to any of the characters in his show. No small feat. Highly recommended.... full review

Full disclosure, I'm always gonna go see what Mr. Hunt does. It's always gonna have surprises, some real pathos, and some danger. And funny. You know there's gonna be some great funny. Brendan Hunt knows how to connect material, character, and audience and he does it here. I saw the preview so there may be adjustments from the show I saw. I'll see it again later in the run just because I know that, free from the restrictions of a big ensemble show, Brendan will find even more to bring. That's another thing you can count on. I WILL SEE IT AGAIN ... full review

I brought my kinda-conservative, not-really-theater-people parents to see this show at 11pm on a Thurs, and they laughed their faces off and walked away raving about how brilliant it was. That's because it's so freakin' good, it transcends even my poor, unsuspecting parents' usual boundaries. I laughed until my stomach hurt. Everyone should see this show.... full review

I loved every second of this sweet little ditty. Filled with a memento esque structure, I was always jazzed to see how this story was going to twist and turn through its out and out attack on love, sickness and the need for connection. Brendan is the man. Just fact on top of facts with this. He commits like no other, and knows how to land every single joke like a gymnast dismounting for the gold. And in this particular performance I may have witnessed a fringe moment for the ages! (yessssssssssssss!). So if Brendan is Jordan, that would make Lauren Van Kurin Phil Jackson. Directed with strength and confidence, Kurin knows where to take the audience and knows when to double down and take the audience one step deeper into the abyss that... full review

Brendan is a mad and immediate presence who inhabits his broken characters with intelligence, wit, and abandon. The structure of this piece unfolds like an oragami puzzle, making the journey even more enjoyable than the destination. This is a short play, not a one-man show; it is told with the focus and theatricality that goes far beyond what we are used to in Fringe solo work of self-revelatory navel gazing. In other words, I loved it.... full review

This was a great show, the whole audience was laughing. It's an honest look at the heart of someone who doesn't quite have it all figured out just yet.... full review

Hilarious, heartbreaking, brilliant work-- perfectly paced and performed and wonderfully directed. Hunt's genius performance and Van Kurin's direction guide us along evenly through narrative jumps in time with subtle and effective lighting shifts. They are so good at playing your heartstrings it's as if Pixar were developing an NC-17 solo show about the worst day ever. Find the time and make this show a priority, it's just fantastic.... full review
