What I liked

We watched Troll 2 in preparation for this play and I am a fan of Nilbog: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Troll 2. This show was fun. My friends and I really enjoyed the show and we enjoyed being sprayed with silly string. (My shoes/clothes were unharmed from the popcorn and silly string magic.)

The cast was hilarious and they worked well together. Everyone equally did an amazing job. The Goblins were fantastic. I enjoyed the man who danced in the opening. HOLLY was hilarious, she made me laugh the most. The grandpa was VERY entertaining. The mom surprised me during the rap battle and the father cracked me up when he danced. Joshua and Creedence were also favorites. The entire cast was amazing.

What I didn't like

I would like to see the show again in a bigger space.

My overall impression

It was a fun night out, we had dinner across the street then saw a a show that had me singing and laughing even after it was over and I would enjoy seeing it again. The songs are stuck in my head, but they are fun songs to have stuck in your head. The composer, pianist, director, really I am grateful there are talented people in Los Angeles coming together and working hard to keep theatre alive in LA.
