Internationally acclaimed entertainer, best described as “the last of the great Song and Dance Men!”, “The hardest-working man in showbiz”, that’s Movin’ Melvin Brown all the way from Austin Texas!
If you haven’t witnessed Melvin in “A Man, A Magic, A Music”, imagine the singing ability of Ray Charles, Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, the dancing and entertainment talents of Sammy Davis Jr, James Brown and Michael Jackson, and you’ve got a hint of what to expect. He combines original songs with classic tunes to create shows of nothing less than ‘raise the roof’ potential. Known for having the fastest-moving feet on the circuit, his extraordinary skills include tap dancing, juke dancing, clogging, jazz, swing, contemporary, mime and robotics – a one-man dancing band.
Movin’ Melvin Brown is a living homage to African-American music. Hailing from Austin, Texas, Melvin has been spreading his own brand of musical gospel across the world, including appearances on CNN International, and as part of the Quincy Jones and Oprah Winfrey birthday party for Maya Angelou. He was recognised as Most Outstanding Performer at the New York Festival in 2008, opened for Harry Connick Jr on his Australian tour, The Four Tops in Las Vegas, and has shared the stage with the likes of Smokey Robinson, BB King, Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson and James Brown.
