Seven Decembers is a nicely crafted play with a very interesting story line, a unique story of which one wouldn't get to experience unless it happens to them. I feel fortunate to be part of this journey of this family that the story revolves around. These actors make the story bring tears to the audience at times. I was really moved. They were very touching yet also very witty and funny at times. It was also so nice to see a good direction and staging at Hollywood Fringe Festival, this original piece will rise up the stick for the season. I wish that this play gets recognition and moves on to perform and develop further in a world where we almost lost our feelings, and empathy for others. Everyone should see this play. Having brothers of my own, this production really bothered me emotionally. I was in tears by the end of the show. The language is so perfect.... full review

I was intrigued by the concept of this play - a brother goes missing and for this, the seventh year in a row, the family gathers together to await a phone call from him. He never speaks and they don’t know for sure that it is actually him, but the call always comes the weekend of his birthday, so they all gather in order to cling to the last remnant of hope that he is still alive. This family is dysfunctional to say the least with all of the stereotypical types covered - alcoholic mother, separated father with way younger girlfriend, uptight sister, wild sister and gay brother. The problem was that just as the story started to develop and we began to see deeper than the surface stereotypes, the play was over. Everything was left up in the... full review

I attended the opening night show and it was nothing less than fantastic! The storyline captures your attention and holds it all the way through. Tig (played by Carrissa Toro) comes in as you are at the end of your seat and lifts up your spirit immediatley, she did such a great job with her character and Johnny May Leahy (played by Bridgit King) did such a great job playing a dark comedic role! Seven Decembers is a must see performance, BRAVO!... full review

A relentlessly sad look at a family that is trapped somewhere between hope and grief. We follow Johnny May as she comes home for the seventh year in a row to a family that blames her for the loss of the prodigal son. Only by letting go will she begin to live again. ... full review

Mildly interesting play that seemed unpolished but surprisingly weird. Please pursue your unusual writing voice and knack for unexpected casting choices.... full review
