The star is Dan Sugi's music with some clever songs by mostly talented singing performers, while the script sometimes drifts and sags. The who-dunnit was too obvious early in the first act. A new book with a tighter parody script would better feature the songs. If it is funny the lack of mystery doesn't really matter. And it is too tame to be tagged for ages 21+....

It's not every day one has the opportunity to see a 40's detective story in a musical format! It's a lot of fun! The actors do a fine job. Good music, singing, and costumes all contribute to the 1940's New York setting of the piece. I enjoyed it!!! ...

I have seen most of these performers in many different roles and genres and I am consistently struck by the magnitude of their individual (and collective) talents and their creativity. I am of the opinion that theatre, especially in the incubator and showcase of the likes of the Hollywood Fringe, should innovate, challenge, take risks, set the bar high and then raise it. I think this offering from Sugi Productions hits that mark and it will continue to do so. ...

It's a fast talking detective drama with upbeat musical numbers, belting ballads and a murder mystery just waiting to be solved. Broadway Noir is exactly what it sounds like and it doesn't disappoint. ...
