What I liked

Complex[ion], for me was an exceptional blend of real life issues that millennial women of color live with, coupled with the artistry, writing and directing of one of my favorite indie genre films.

The play although dealing with a lot of sensitive issues, convey the diverse topics and narratives in a very engaging, entertaining and dramatic way. The emsemble performed flawlessly, making you feel the emotion, the pain and the realness of each characther.

Minimum props and staging I felt really set the stage to allow the ability of the actors to shine through. Complex[ion] really demonstrated the “power of less” in this playwright and I loved everything about it.

The most refreshing thing was how the plays narrative or genre seemed to change constantly which was amazing. It really felt like I was watching a Tarantino film or a double feature @ the New Beverly Cinema.

Congratulations ladies, you rock!
