There are so many elements of Nancy’s story that are relatable to people from various age groups. As a “twenty something” I really enjoyed the chance to listen to a baby boomer’s story that y drove home that no one, regardless of age, is ever done learning about themselves or making mistakes. Without giving too much away for those yet to see the show, I was particularly struck by the portion of the show that discussed a mother’s views on mortality and wishes for her daughter. Nancy also has the comfiest looking costume I’ve seen at the Fringe!
What I didn't like
My overall impression
“Freak Out” is thoughtful, charming, insightful, and a real pleasure, regardless of how far away you might be from your own 60th birthday!
