What I liked

I love when I am taken into a funny story and am laughing and then suddenly realize that there are deeper things going on (my FAV kind of theater!). “Don’t Spill Your Drink” revolves around a very funny concept which has the audience howling with laughter from the start. But the wonderful writing gets you slowly start to “feel all the feels” about life with a debilitating disease. Esp a progressive disease that takes something joyful and turns into a life filled with pain.

What I didn't like

The scene changes could be smoother but didn’t take away from my enjoyment.

My overall impression

Like Hans Christian Anderson’s dark fairy tale “The Red Shoes”, Claire Lake’s dramedy takes you on a wild ride about something that should be joyful ( and usually is) but turns out to be a nightmare. Great concept. Claire Lake’s physical comedy is well done. Still thinking about it a week later. Highly recommended.
