What I liked

I fully expected going into this performance I wouldn’t understand or even follow the storyline. I’ve never seen a single episode of Game of Thrones but that didn’t seem to be an issue with this show. I fully understood the storyline and finally linked how everybody was related. The pace was catchy and quick, the songs were lovely and hilarious, and the humor was on point. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole performance.

What I didn't like

The only issue I had with it was that occasionally it was difficult to hear the lyrics over the music. This was not always the case, but there were some songs where the actors perhaps were not as powerful musically as others, so it made it more tough to hear all the lyrics. But the emotion behind the songs was not lost however.

My overall impression

I would say, if you have time, enjoy theatre, and love parodies of good shows. Take the time to see Winter is Coming. The costumes were fantastic, the humor was great, the actors were enjoyable. Winter is Coming: A Musical Parody is fun and witty, from the violence to the tap dancing!
