What I liked

If you are expecting a powerful message presented in a condensed package, go see this play! Nora King as Anne was spellbinding, capturing the vibrating energy of a life tragically cut short before it fully knew the world or even itself. The lighting and set design were inventive and illustrative, yet simple. I really appreciated the way that creative details in direction, such as a series of gestures with men’s shoes, link this piece to the tragic realm of history. All the actors did an amazing job, sending jolts of emotions through the audience, especially in a few key, brief lines.

My overall impression

Powerful and poignant, this is an important play that lifts the character of Anne Frank away from the infamous pages of her diary and into your heart with a fresh kind of energy.
