Most of us know the story of Anne Frank, but the way that this story is told, her time before going into hiding, reminds us what was truly lost by the tragedy of the Holocaust. It’s an interesting and beautiful approach to the story, a funny, poignant rendition of growing up, interrupted. Loved it. The lead actress’ performance was incredible, ranging from amusingly quirky to downright tear-jerking and powerful. Also loved the small sequences of movement that set it apart.
What I didn't like
The opening sequence lingers a little too long in the dark (literally). From that point on, flawless.
My overall impression
A beautiful, poignant and powerful show that accomplishes the show’s mission: to connect you to the real, human stories interrupted by tragedy.
