What I didn't like
Play needs work. The patient lived in her reality and the shrink in hers. The former was realistic and the shrinks was at times over the top or heightened. I would have preferred the whole play be pushed more to the over the top aspect because I knew right away the pa tent was not going to get the help she needed from this sad sack therapist. This patient was smart enough not to have been taken in by her. So the comedic strength of the play would have worked better as a black.comedy. The patient perhaps a lot more naive so she is needed and more believable as trusting this shrink…esp. given what she is charging. This would also strengthen the satirical aspects as well. In the vein of Jules Feiffer.
