What I liked
The performances were wonderful. Enthusiastic, fresh, lively. The pieces were also very fresh and fun, a mix of poignant and hysterically funny writing. It’s a collection of emails, letters and such by an odd bunch of characters. We get brief bits of insight into people very much like us, people we can understand and empathize with, but also people we wouldn’t necessarily want to be. Or perhaps Charlotte’s Shorts reveals the parts of us that we normally would keep to ourselves. Pettiness and passions.
What I didn't like
I could have watched more of it.
My overall impression
It was a very entertaining evening in a nice little theater. The show felt very fresh and alive. Even though the pieces are short, you got the essence of the character very quickly. And no cheap shot humor. That was refreshing. Intelligently funny.
