What I liked
I loved all the songs and the performances. There’s some real talent here. Don is an excellent song writer. All of the songs were catchy, moving or just plain fun. The singers were amazing.
What I didn't like
The story and structure were a bit loose. I used to write books for musicals so I’m critical in this area. I would have liked to have seen a stronger journey for the sisters (such as Wonderful Town) about how they grow up for example. The show ran under an hour so I think it needs to be longer. But overall, the songs and story idea were very creative and enjoyable.
My overall impression
Don Lewis has written a light-hearted, fun and catchy musical with important themes for today’s world. The piece gave a brief history of New York, showed an interesting life of two sisters and had some great songs.
