My overall impression

Being a fan of film noir I was excited to see Benjamin Schwartz (writer/producer/actor) and Matt Ritchey’s (writer/director) take on the genre. With the dimly lit classic hollywood atmosphere of the Three of Clubs the audience is immediately drawn into the play. The venue served as a perfect backdrop for an 1940’s noir play. The play is more of a comedic homage than a silly satire. You know the writers appreciate, love and know the genre.
The writing is sharp, funny and moves the story along quickly. The actors are top notch, the choreography is fantastic, with strong costumes and there are more memorable puns than the movie Airplane. If you enjoy witty writing, sharp acting, mysteries and have nostalgia for classic films and hollywood you will surely love Angel’s Flight. It is absolutely hilarious!
