What I liked

This is a good story with politically relevant subject matter and great relationship issues. I thought the ensemble was strong. Each actor created a very specific character. They worked well from moment to moment and I was engaged throughout, as was my friend who attended with me. We came away discussing some of the issues of the play….always a good sign! I think Donald Margulies would be happy with this production.

What I didn't like

Occasionally the actors had soft voices and I could barely hear in the second row. A few times they spoke too quickly so I heard them but missed what they said. This didn’t happen often and can be easily corrected. Otherwise, I loved the play and thought they did a terrific job!

My overall impression

A thought-provoking look at war and the affects on those who report it. As always, Margulies raises questions about relationships, the use of art for the audience and the creators, and the interplay of story and life. The production was strong and engaging.
