My overall impression
This is an incredible show, both well-written and beautifully performed. Joseph Valdez is onstage, WORKING IT, for an hour nonstop– his focus is absolutely unbreakable and his energy is unbelievable. He takes us into the boyish and humorous world of rambunctious, imaginative child Little Big Joe; he brings us out through a story about living with substance abuse and addiction, told from a child’s perspective. What do you do when the bugs start to close in? Get out your He-Man sword and your boots and kick ass! This show is brilliant, devastating, and an utter must-see.
