My overall impression

If you’re looking for a full force comedy with a side of nostalgia, then look no further! The Boss is a perfectly executed, craftily acted, and expertly directed piece of comedy gold. I had so much fun reliving my early childhood through the thoughtful 80’s references sprinkled throughout this razor sharp script. All of the acting was top notch and had a firm grip on the fast paced sketch-comedy style, but Damien Luvara stood out making me forget that I wasn’t actually watching the real Tony Danza on stage. His vocal intonations and mannerisms were spot on. Summer Shirley was beyond hilarious, part Judith Light, part Harry Caray, but all genius. They were flawlessly rehearsed, but if I were to say a word of caution, they definitely play to the room vocally. So, if you’re sensitive to sound, don’t sit in the front row. I definitely am, so sometimes at points the dialogue made me jump with how vigorously it was projected a such a high volume. Other than that, I had the most fun I have had at Fringe so far! Definitely put this on your must see list!
