My overall impression

This is my absolute favorite dramatic ensemble piece at Fringe this year. Phenomenal writing by Alex Alpharaoh, superb direction by Elisa Noemi, and a truly STELLAR ensemble cast. The show mixes spoken word, compelling scenes, and extraordinary movement pieces choreographed by Alana Duvernay. The cast played to an entirely sold out house and the energy both onstage and in the seats was electric. The show is interactive and the audience is encouraged to respond vocally to the work. The cast plays effortlessly off the audience and each other and are so very connected to each piece that is impossible to not connect with them. I was moved to tears throughout the entire piece, reminded of the invisible people that we see every day and choose to ignore. This show gives voice to the voiceless. It is the epitome of relevant especially in today’s violent racial climate. The topics touch on everything from incarceration to domestic violence, to inner struggles, abortion, and racism. I was so beyond moved by the piece as a whole. The actors are fearless as is the writing. It was so magnificent I want to see it again. GO SEE THIS SHOW BEFORE FRINGE IS OVER! I promise there is NOTHING else like it in the festival and your heart will thank me later.
