My overall impression

Both of these short plays examine the idea of what is “truth” and is it always the most important thing.

The first play did a great job of giving us just enough details to keep us invested while dangling a few mysteries out of reach so we were anxiously waiting to see what was really going on. Though one character was more aggressive than the other, they were evenly matched in their battle over who was right.

The second play was bizarre in a really intriguing way, and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. But there was no reveal that fully explained the situation. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I felt that the build up was implying that there would be, so I was left wanting more. (Still, that means I was engaged.)

The performances throughout were exceptional and really helped the great writing shine through. I’d love to see other works by the writers and/or catch the actresses in other performances.
