In this abridged workshop adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic “Romeo and Juliet,” we explore the question, “What’s in a name?” Where do we find our identities? Is it from our given names and lineage, from our physical abilities or “dis-abilities,” or from our character? Bringing together deaf and hearing actors using English and American Sign Language, we “let hands do what lips do.”
