From Silent Screen to Talking Stage, Dear Hollywood Heads To Hollywood Fringe
LOSANGELES, CA MAY 2015: Originally a short silent film, Julisa L. Wright adapted Dear Hollywood for the stage, adding a larger cast of entertaining Hollywood characters and playing them all herself.
Looking to Judy Garland, Charlie Chaplin, and Buster Keaton as spirit guides, a young woman works to overcome the complications of reality as she pursues her “Old Hollywood” dream.
One woman: eleven characters, and the main character never speaks.
An inspirational solo performance show with a silent film twist.
About Julisa L. Wright – A writer, improvisor, and performer in the LA area, Wright has a deep love for silent film, old Hollywood, and telling compelling stories with as little dialogue as possible.
