What I liked
The songs were perfectly written to reflect the characters and have the audience reeling in laughter. The Alien was equal parts terrifying and hilarious. The overall story was amazing, and while it took me about 2/3 of the way through to realize how well the Alien storyline had been worked in, when it hit me I couldn’t stop thinking how amazing they had done everything.
What I didn't like
The only problem I had was hearing during the songs. Maria had a microphone, which helped, but there were many moments that I missed some other lyrics for other characters that I would have loved to catch as I am sure they are just as witty as the rest!
My overall impression
This show is AMAZING! I had heard how good it was from last year’s Fringe, and the Awards they received speak for themselves. This show is so wonderfully pieced together that it had me laughing out loud while also secretly fearing that an Alien was going to come after me next. The creature work is astounding, and the show is a true masterpiece! I thought about doing individual shout-outs to performers, but they were all so adaptive and talented that I couldn’t pick one or two! As a group, they provided an experience that left me, a fellow actor, wanting to jump into costume and join in the fun. Well done all around to a show that is clearly going places!
