This show was smart, unique, funny and surprisingly moving. It is extremely well written--which is often not the case with smaller theater productions--and the caliber of actors was exceptional. This show appealed to me because of the intriguing title, I had to see it! The fascinating tales told by the characters was a deep and truthful look at how everyone can fantasize and idealize events in their sexual relations. The acting was superb and directed cleverly. You will take a seat and relax into the bedroom of storytelling. Truly a stimulating and amusing play!... full review

"Starf*cking" was an amazing night of theater. The acting was consistently fine; the direction, flawless. There was an array of rich performances drawn from a dark, but often hilarious screenplay. I especially enjoyed Tony Devon Smith's amazing turn as Ruben, Stephen DeCordova's poignant Martin and Dawn Joyal as the doomed Patty. The theme of a bleak Hollywood peopled by the lonely and starstruck seemed like a modern take on Nathaniel West's "The Day of the Locust." Beautifully done. ... full review

Wonderful play made up of a series of linked monologues (and one two-person scene), expertly performed by stellar talent. Kelly Schumann and Blaine Vedros shine especially bright in their pieces, though the acting is fantastic across the board. Director Eric Johnson's sparse choices are top-notch. BRILLIANT! Such a hidden gem in this festival, but truly NEEDS to be seen! The performances are so tight -- the writing is impeccable & sooo wonderfully nuanced -- & the directing? Just WOW! This is a show I would pay serious money to see at the Ahmanson or on Broadway! ... full review
