My overall impression
“Stupid Songs” shimmers with the staggering brilliance of Keri Safran, her absurdly gifted cast and masterful musicians. This assortment of euphonious madness contains every shade of stupidity from grippingly vulgar to adorably innocent. Dan Wessels is a melodious monarch who is kind but firm in his rule as musical director and the composition of the original tunes is anything but stupid. It’s complex, creative and constantly enthralling. Go see it!
