Outstanding performances, imaginative direction, gorgeous movement, and the most memorable sound-and-lighting design package you’re likely to hear-and-see at this year’s Hollywood Fringe combine to make the West Coast Premiere of Jess Shoemaker’s Jason & (Medea) one of Fringe 2015’s most must-see productions. Hi, I caught Jason & (Medea) on Wednesday, June 24th at 7:00 pm. Great job all around. I was struck by the nuanced and minimalistic dialogue that depicted childhood, adolescence, desire, sex...and their juxtapositions. What the language accomplishes is deep and probing in a clever shorthand that has a youth and sway about it. Both a classical and contemporary look at the mythical Jason and Medea love story, power struggle and odd family dynamics. Entire cast was strong and fully committed. With no set, no real costumes and only a few props, an entire world and story were created before an eager audience's eyes. Really well done. Cast is excellent. Jessica Pohly is a special stand-out.... full review

It was well acted, written and directed and if you like theatre, you should see this. For real.... full review

I wasn't sure what to expect when buying tickets for this show. I knew the story - studied it (too much) in school - and wasn't quite sure how they were going get the audience on board. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. The telling and the direction were great - but what really makes this show special is the actors. Their performances (particularly from the two leads) blew me away. SEE IT!... full review
