The Devil You Say uses puppets as actors to reveal the true essence of Satan, and possibly ourselves. Bloody wars, violent revolts, cries of Armageddon – be it the 15th century or our own, this landscape provides the backdrop for the eternal question: Who bears responsibility, God? Satan? Someone else…? The Devil himself takes the stage to mount his defense and prove who’s really to blame. All using words and sayings attributed to him by History’s greatest writers: Goethe, Marlowe, Byron, Punch & Judy.

Producer, Director, and Performer powerhouse Robin Walsh brings to the Hollywood Fringe and the Asylum Theatre The Devil You Say in its first full theatrical run. Using a 4’ tall “Otome Bunraku” style puppet, Walsh breathes life into a puppet Devil like no other, with live voice and music accompaniment.
