Los Angeles, CA We are excited to produce “Journey to Myself” a World Premier solo performance by actress, Kay Benjamin directed by Karen Abercrombie. This limited engagement is part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival and will be held at the Lounge Theatre, 6201 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles, CA June 13 at 8:00 pm.
The sometimes funny controversial play will have you thinking about your own possibilities and the importance of self-love. It is the journey of a woman with over five personalities to integrate. For over 20 years she was challenged with suicidal idealizations, depression and managing all of her personalities.
Ms. Benjamin spoke before NAMI Urban Los Angeles, May 7 and credited the World Stage and Healthy African American Families Phase II in Leimert Park for enabling her to complete her work.
