With a funny and touching (and vocally amazing) performance by Emily Clark, SLIGHTLY DRAMATIC is one hour of great songs, great stories, and exploration of relationships. The accompaniment by Charlie Ferguson is right on the money and the subtle jokes in song choice as incidental music may have slipped by a few, but many audience members got it and got it good! The choice of bringing co-conspirators to the stage at specific intervals is very smart for this format and the performances of Mark Jacobson (as "hot guy," "therapy boyfriend" and "phone Bob"), Whitney Tenney, and Amanda Spinella ("high school girlfriends," "teens," "best galpals") are more than support - they breathe life into characters that could otherwise easily have been cardboa... full review

This is an autobiographical musical about a woman growing up as a Musical Theater fanatic. It follows her story as she learns about life with friends, school, work and most importantly - boys. Done in a cabaret style, it is smart and well-paced. The piano player is wonderful. And the supporting cast supports the narrators idiosyncrasies. I enjoyed it very much. ... full review
