world premiere

Mamie’s mother is dying. They both know it’s coming and there is nothing either one of them can do about it. The only thing that’s for sure is that they’ll never see each other again. But that doesn’t mean they can’t talk, even if Mamie’s mother happens to be in a coma 200 miles away. What Mamie really needs to do is get home safe tonight. With the help of her mother, a good friend, and some unexpected angels she’ll get there. She just might not be happy about it. So we’ll begin back at the beginning. Back when Fear first showed up. Back to the night she tried to walk home and couldn’t get there. Back to the night she was afraid of being alone while, at the same time afraid of being with anyone, afraid of the walk home through Hollywood, afraid of feeling so vulnerable. Back to the night she walked for hours and got nowhere. She should have called for a ride. She has friends. That’s why she holds on. Someone would have come to save her. But she didn’t want to be saved.
