The Perfect Game

ensemble theatre · brimmer st. theatre co. · Ages 1+ · United States

family friendly world premiere

A project ten years in the making, and inspired in part by an essay by David Mamet from his book ‘Three Uses of the Knife,’ The Perfect Game seeks to blur the line between sport and theater, and to provide an immersive, authentic, 9-inning baseball game – but with no ball. All the plays are rehearsed, the action is staged, and the outcome predetermined. The hot dogs and popcorn are real.

Admission is free to the public, people are welcome to come and go, or stay to watch the whole game and cheer for their favorite team! Your favorite classic food and drinks will be available from local food trucks. LA Stage Alliance CEO Terrance McFarland (June 15) and Bitter Lemons Editor-in-Chief Colin Mitchell (June 22) will (pretend to) throw out the first pitch. Special guests will sing the (actual) Star Spangled Banner.
