Doc and Stumpy's Instant Burlesque Brings Back Classic Burlesque Comedy

Doc & Stumpy are the premier baggy pants comedy duo of Los Angeles, reviving classic burlesque and vaudeville style comedy for the fans of today. Andrew “Doc” Davis is the quintessential straight man, while David “Stumpy” Springhorn is unmistakable as the comic.
At the Fringe Festival this year, Doc & Stumpy are presenting ten one-hour shows featuring routines developed for Monday Night Tease in Hollywood, Baggy Pants Burlesque in North Hollywood, Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and Moisture Festival in Seattle. Each night the shows highlight some of the hottest burlesque strip-tease artists of Los Angeles. Different dancers will be joining them each night.
“Doc” – the smart one – comes by his nickname legitimately. He is one of the nation’s leading experts on American popular entertainments. He holds a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he wrote his doctoral dissertation on burlesque comedy. Published in
