This review by Jason Rohrer at Stage and Cinema: SOBER CANNIBALS, DRUNKEN CHRISTIANS This show made me wish I had chosen to sit through Lost Moon Radio's Million Dollar Hair again. If this sounds like faint praise, it is; I did not enjoy Million Dollar Hair. But Moby Alpha, as conceived and performed by Seattle sketch comics Chuck Armstrong and Charlie Stockman, is unfunny on a more fundamental level than Million Dollar Hair is unfunny. A one-hour-and-change two-man Moby-Dick set in outer space, Moby Alpha has the more original conceit. Lost Moon Radio has the edge in performance and character creation and just plain chops. This is an amazing must-see show! Since I had the (sad) privilege of attending the last show in this run, I can only say "like" these guys on facebook.com/charlescomedy follow them on @charlescomedy so you can be notified when they mount Moby Alpha again. Rumor has it Charles Comedy will also be performing in Venice July 11th. I'll post my (more detailed) review here when it's done, but meanwhile - if you're a Fringe voter, vote for Moby Alpha. If it gets extended, SEE IT!! One day, you'll be able to boast to all your friends that you knew they were going to be HUGE when they were just a couple of hapless (brilliant) guys doing their thing in the Hollywood Fringe... full review

The two-man comedy group Charles has made a clever work here: resetting Moby-Dick in space while at the same time parodying well-known science fiction films like Alien, 2001, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. ... full review
