From a Yardie to a Yankee is a compelling story of life experiences growing up as a young girl in Kingston, Jamaica and how I overcame many, many obstacles. Being raised in a high crime ridden area of Jamaica I struggled literally walking over dead bodies on the streets to endure the possibility of being raped. The frustrations, the feeling of hopelessness and despair were each part of my daily experience.
