My overall impression
True to its title everything in “Germaine” is vital and relevant and nothing superfluous or self-indulgent. A one-woman show about family, it finds room to memorialize an historical time and place and follow the twists and turns of relationships in transition. With humor, originality and energy it explores love, the longing to belong, and the surprising ways life sometimes fulfills one’s expectations.
