If good art is supposed to transcend the individual experience in order to communicate something fundamental to the human spirit, Flyover State is not only good, it is great. What begins as a domestic black comedy subtly morphs over the course of the show into a surprisingly tender, wry, compassionate and hilarious examination of the tangled webs we weave and the many reasons we find to bother untangling them instead of walking away. A moving and affecting show, highly recommended. ... full review

The play was very well-written and engaging; the characters were well-drawn and fully-developed. The character of Alice was especially multi-layered and endearing. Sarah Tither-Kaplan did a wonderful job of bringing her to life. The other performances were also excellent. All in all, an enjoyable evening at the theatre, highly recommended to all.... full review

As Playwright and Co-Director of “Flyover State”, Sarah Tither-Kaplan has crafted a well written and poignant play. That is not to say it is morose. Albeit there are some achingly painful moments, it is filled with witty, wry, self-deprecating, and often pointed humor. The writing is tight, so often with first run plays, they can easily lose a couple of pages of dialogue, but “Flyover State” is deftly and tightly done. The acting is of such depth, creativity, and commitment that it was often a revelation. Sarah’s character, Alice, is transformational. The other Co-Director, Keith Boos, plays a very interesting character, Clete. Clete at first comes off as a right wing wacko military veteran, but as the play progresses we appreciate ... full review
