My overall impression
‘Keena: Unbranded (The Solo Experience)’ was truly a great piece of art! This is a show I’d recommend anyone to see and would happily see again. Keena brought over 10 amazingly distinctive characters to life (male and female) right before our eyes, without one change of costume, baring her soul in a captivating story that expertly weaved together the essence of who she is. With great acting and immense physicality, Keena took us on a journey thru sexual experiences, Laker Girl try-outs, the death of a family member, the Hollywood shuffle, abortion and much more. She punctuated her piece with expressive moments of interpretive dance, which she executed with trained skill and grace. After we’d laughed, sighed, shook our heads and cried, the piece resolved with such bright and positive revelation we couldn’t help but stand on our feet to pour out ovation. Well done to Keena: Unbranded, Tanya (the Director) and your team. Thank you.
