My overall impression
Keena Ferguson bares her soul to the audience in this powerful self-bio that is both entertaining and moving at the same time. She takes on everything from childhood memories to the struggles of an actor in Hollywood to deeply personal experiences that have collectively formed and defined who she truly is, an original.
Collectively, the various segments are woven together with emotional dance pieces. Sometimes, the most powerful way to convey emotion is to say nothing. Keena’s dance movements speak volumes. Joy, pain, anger and pleasure fly across the stage in these expressive physical moments.
I’m a tough critic, but will point out when someone or something rises to the challenge and moves me. To that end, I’d recommend folks find the time to see this impressive expression of living one’s life.
