Wow! This was my first Fringe Show experience and I couldn't have had a better one. I laughed, I cried, but mostly laughed! The writing and the acting were both amazing. What a great way to spend my Saturday night!!... full review

Great performances across the board with a lot of fun character work, and a great array of comic pieces with the odd bit of drama thrown in for flavor. This show offers a ton of laughs, and- impressively- the poignant moments hit just as hard. Way to go, Theatre Unleashed!!!!... full review

You get a lot of "snap" when engaging, competent performers bang out 25 mini-dramas in an hour. It never loses steam, which makes for a fun evening of theater! Humor - good doses of that! Sure. Two imaginary muffins sit in an imaginary display case before us. Deciding between them? A Sophie's Choice. Well, so he says. And she's bemused by that. Tries to help him understand what that actually means. Before long, they've squirreltrekked all over the philosophical map - and the laughter is at 100%. Sketch after sketch - but not just funny ones. Sprinkled in are serious moments - moving, heartfelt, considerately told. This creates just the right rhythm and forms an emotional arc tying things together. Most of these actors have worked t... full review

They did it again this year! Delivering on the premise is only the tip of the iceberg. In one hour, you see twenty-five shorts, ranging from knee-slappers to tear-jerkers, and the ensemble manage to do it without rushing or compromising the rhythm of each piece. There's something lovable if not magical in each one. As usual, the Theatre Unleashed folks are clearly having blast performing, and that feeling is contagious. You'll be hard pressed to find a better investment of your Fringe ticket budget in terms of sheer bang for the buck.... full review

The director Aaron Kozak killed it. Courtney Bell and Lee Pollero crushed it. Bethy Poluikis nailed accents and timing like a champ. New TUer Anthony Rutowicz was throwing great stuff all over that stage. Hire Danny Grossman for all your politician and dad roles! Alessandra Bonetti and the rest of the cast had some great moments. With 25 ultra short plays, you are going to get some gems and some stinkers. But as a show, it's totally worth your time. Created by Jacob Smith for Theater Unleashed, this show helps puts TU on the Fringe map. ... full review

The talented folks at Theater Unleashed remind me of when SNL was at its best - with a little drama thrown into the mix. The actors are on point and extremely versatile. I was amazed watching them jump from character to character at breakneck speeds. The writing ranges from the downright silly to esoteric and at times, poignant and wonderfully simple. Not every scene is for everyone, but with 25 Plays in an hour, the odds are in your favor. ... full review

This didn't do it for me. It was sketch comedy/drama without any cohesion. I think I would have enjoyed this same group of thespians just committing to an improv show. I think the material would have been more magical.... full review

The cast did a beautiful job, however, in the performance that I saw the entire show seemed rushed and a bit emotionally pushed. There were no pauses at the ends of pieces and the audience was given no time to show appreciation for the work being done or process any of what they had just seen. Additionally, it would have been nice to see a bit more variety in the tone and pacing of the show. I would have liked to see more ebb-and-flow creating more of a rollercoaster ride rather than a high-speed chase. ... full review
